schweeeeet schweeeet

happpy all sugary 16th birthday beloved sis!! 16th!!! wow, time really flies don't they?? i can still remember those days when you're all cute and small and round and small and cute. ( in case you are wondering, don't worry..you're still cute as a button! hehehe ) and here i am now, a grumpy and haggard older sis, not wanting to see her own younger lil sis grow up too fast, too soon. *sighs* life... OH LIFE!...

i remember the time when i told you not to tell mum this certain thing that i didn't want mum to know at that time and sure enough, u didnt let out a word eventhough she asked. turns out i was the one who blurted the whole thing to her in the end. and that's really how loyal you are. :D

as the year passes and the digits reflecting your age increases, i constantly have to remind myself that you're no longer that small lil sis that i used to have but a young lady who is coming of age, growing steadily in character and in maturity. i believe there's so much more in store for you, so many more chapters for you to go through. don't be afraid to embrace it but keep striving for more! you have great, GREAT potential!! :D

days when my sis still had her braces on. of cos now its taken off dy. and she's even more gorgeous. :D

squeek squeek!!

i am work happy today not because it was a fruitful or productive day.. ( hmm then again depends on how you look at it.. it was fruitful in terms of cleaning..tsk )

i finally threw out a box full of junk my colleague left at the cubicle im currently occupying. after what 8 months?? ahahahah... floppy disks,CDs, documentations...i can now finally use my 2 drawers!

besides that, i found a piece of cloth beneath all those things and what do you do when you find a cloth while spring cleaning? use them of course! :D

i got rid of all the dusts at the corners of my table top, rearranged the decos i pin at the side.. and voila, it like new again! yahoo! google!! HAHHAA...

now im thinking of how to decorate it even more! cant wait! will take a pic soon..

on another note regarding work, today my office was deserted and almost empty at 630pm!!! ok lar, today is an exception. mostly the office is cleared by 7pm. hhhehe..

kindly mail me your resume at yuenwei@idontneedtoworklate.com if you're interested to join such an interesting workforce. *winks*

too much time!

im now surfing and wasting my time in Queensbay Mall before my ride back to kl at 7pm. yes, it's a pretty long wait and i thought might as well i go catch a movie but the only movie tat is showing at this time is 'My Wife is a Gambling Maestro'! so here i am at Dome now.

work in Penang has brought me to interesting places. first was an Air Defense System near Sg Dua under the Five Power Defence Arrangements consisting of Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand and Britian. i got to see fighter jets taking off in the mornings, jets in the hangar ( COOL! )..and of cos hot ang mohs in their army uniforms!! ok la eventhough it was only ONE hot angmoh, he looked like josh harnett in Pearl Harbour! hahah..

then this time, i had to go for an installation in Mattel, Seberang Prai where they produced toys like Hot Wheels. saw where they produced the wheels, the plastic chasis of the cars, the aloy.. interesting lar! its like a factory of toys just for me!!! too bad the barbie dolls are manufactured in thailand if not i'll jus slip one into my big bag! hehe.. ( not tat i like barbie very much but still its tempting! hehe.. )

ps: as you can see, i really have a lot of time in my hands. even went to google up the pics somemore! haha.

NO!

How many of you like rejections? Haha. I’m sure there wouldn’t be many if I decided to take a count. Well, I for one surely don’t! But what would you do if you got rejected not only once but twice in a span of a month? Now how’s that for an ego boosting? Hehe..

To simplify a long and complicated story, I tried for something and I didn’t get it and there I was thinking whether or not to try again. I found strength in how the Israelites claimed the promised land. After sending 12 spies to check out the land, only 2 came back positive about conquering it. 10 had negative things to say about it. So although God has prepared a land flowing of milk and honey for them, they still had to overcome the people of the land (their fear) and fight for it and this was what I held on to. I reasoned it out this way. God prepared that something for me, but there are going to be challenges and I still had to fight for it in order to claim it. So basing on this, I was partially confident of getting what I want! (boy, how wrong was I…LOL)

I thought it was going to be real difficult to handle rejection for the 2nd time so that was why I was deliberating whether or not to put myself in such a vulnerable position. "What if they say NO again? That would be so humiliating!! Where to put my face la!! Y can’t I just hide in this small little cosy place of solitude of mine? I’m comfortable here. Really. NO ONE can touch me here. NO RISKS. NO HUMILIATION. Simple."

*thinks to self - the Israelites, the Israelites, the Israelites* arggggghhhhhh!!

In the end, I braved myself for it.

For once, I’m happy to tell u that I was the GO getter! I went for it! I tried and even though things didn’t turned out the way I wanted it, my head can still be lifted high because in MY eyes, I didn’t let fear stop me. I didn’t let doubts hinder me. For me, I was happy enough I plucked enough courage to do it and what the end result might be; it’s all up to God. All I knew was that I overcame my fear and it was truly a liberating experience. I’ve never felt so free! No words like ‘would it make a difference if I tried a little harder’ to haunt me and definitely no more ‘what ifs’… I wanted something, and I went to get it! Say bye to passive me! haha..

Truth be told, it’s one thing to say that I’ve surrendered it all to God and another to say that I don’t hope for things to go my way. I’m only human and I have my desires and I’d be lying to say that I wasn’t hoping and that I wasn’t disappointed. But I prayed much that I would totally, really, truly surrender it to God and finally, I really did!

So when I got a message asking me how I was feeling when I first heard the news, it surprised me that I didn’t feel all that bad after all. :P

It’s all in God’s timing and purpose and I will wait patiently for Him to carefully unfold all the beautiful plans he has for me; slowly but surely.

Remember the message Ps Micheal Koh shared last year titled ‘The Deeper Magic”? I believe the deeper magic worked within me that very day. :)
