finding nemo...

one of the activities i enjoyed the most was our adventure dive. due to the fact that we didn't have our diving licenses, we were only allowed to go till 6m underwater n boy was it an experience!!

getting our briefing from one of the divers.

one round practicing our breathing. the whole time sitting there i was quite nervous already. because of my sinus conidition, im not really a fan of water. i dislike the feeling of grasping for air and trying very hard to breathe. the group gung ho to go, so takkan i so sissy chicken out kan?? so have to muster up some enthusiasm to join them lor.

rachael. the first to suggest for the dive. the rest of us were just waiting around, waitin for the first to chicken but no one did so all had to pretend to be macho and go. haha.

val

afro marko

and yours truly. as you can see i was struggling and our "instructor" had to push my head down so i won't float up. mark, rach n val were all underwater already and seemed not to have any problems going in (underwater) n i was the last to go from the boat.
once off from the boat, they strapped the tank to our backs and passed the breathing thingy (i dunno wat it's called) to us. i looked at that thing and told myself "MAN, THIS IS IT!" i sucked that thing and froze for a couple of seconds not knowing what to do. i was SO afraid to put my head down underwater n having to breathe through that thing!!! the guy asked me to relax and showed me how to breathe again ( long breaths ) and finally after much hesitation, i went in. only after a couple of seconds, i freaked out with my breathing so i signed the guy tat i needed to go back up above waters. its quite embarassing actually cos i took sooooo long to go in while the rest of them were like off the boat, in, off the boat, in, off the boat, in like snap, snap, snap! all i wanted to do was call my mommy and quit and cry cos i just couldn't do it!! *wails* i calmed myself down and tried a couple more times and i finalllllly managed to get my whole body in and swam towards the rest. i wasn't all cool and sailed through the whole dive, sad to say. constantly i had to remind myself to relax, to calm down, to breathe properly in order for me to enjoy the whole experience. but after adjusting n getting used to it, it was pretty fun and exhilirating! no regrets!!

feeding the fishes with the bread they gave us

holding on to the coral to keep ourselves from floating up. takes quite alot of effort man. couple of times i was like "Ah, Ah! i'm floating up!" and had to put more strength in pulling myself down again. hahaha..

this is me enjoying it. there's my peace sign blocked by a fish. hehe.

at the end of the dive, climbing back to the boat

all smiles after it! from all the way hesitant about diving to now considering getting a license for myself. *wink* this is definitely the highlight of the trip, next to surfing. but thanks to chinaman marko who stopped me from buying the surfing pics, i now only have these to share with u guys. the pics cost only about rm70 leh!!! bleh!!

ps: yes we bought these diving pics for about rm100! talk bout them knowing how to make money!!!

i cant stop...

posting pictures of bali simply because I LOVED IT! and i still love it..till i cant wait to go back for another holiday...hehe..

with val before we started our water activities at nusa dua beach

wearing all our gears for paragliding
weee! while still being strapped on and me still trying to remember which side to pull when they show the blue or red flag, there were suddenly shouts to "Lari!" "Lari!"....
i was like HUH??? NOW??? WAIT. am i strapped? IS THIS SAFE???? RUN?? NOW?
before i knew it, i was in the air already. haha. but the whole thing was too short lar. when i was jus about to enjoy being so high up, it was time to pull the strings to descend dy.

bumming at the beach before it started drizzling. i was all beach ready. i even brought a picnic mat over. haha. yes the one mark n val are lying on.

see i told u guys we went back for doughnuts everyday

more pics from bali!

in no particular order...

sunset at Tanah Lot. its a temple overlooking the sea so its great scenery. didnt explore the temple cos it seems so normal next to the Angkors

after taking enough pics to make me happy, we walked along the whole street of stalls which leads us back to our van. and girls being girls, we jalan till it was dark and the stalls were closing.

haha. thinking about it..pity marko for having to babysit 3 girls and for carrying my purchases. tsktsk.
(ok this so doesn't go with the pic)

val and rachael. at krispy kreme. yes we found it by chance. thanks to aunty ( the lady we stayed with ) who brought us to centrol ( a shopping mall ), and there it was, at the side of the building, the big red letters!! truth be told, i didn't believe marko when he said he saw krispy kreme. i was like "yeah rite larr"... ( thanks to all the times i kena tipu by him )

YUM!!! it totally melts in your mouth. the most memorable one was when we were sitting down impatiently, waiting for it to be out from the oven and when we got hold of it, it was superbly hot & soft!!! we went back for doughnuts like everyday!! haha. ok la, minus one day when were in Ubud going crazy shopping. i even brought a box back.

at kuta beach, where we surfed ( or more like, tried to ) :P. this is where all the toplesss ang mohs congregate.

our bed in aunty's place. we stayed at mark's dad's friend's friend's place. yes. it is that distant and she literally opened her house to unknown strangers. what if we were bad bad people?? haha. but aunty was really nice and hospitable. took us out for dinners (which saved us costs), brought us around, getting us HUGE discounts for our water sports and got us a massage which mark exclaims to be his best massage ever for a fraction of the price. initially 3 of us slept on the bed but after val's kung fu stunt on the first nite, we relegated her to the mattress. hehe.
ok i gotta leave now. more posts soon i hope!

bali

holidaying in bali right before CNY got me looking burnt like charcoal in family visitations and pictures. paiseh..hehe...

i have even bruises and scars to show from my trip! it has been a year since a beachy holiday and i was so looking forward to the beach, sun, sea, breeze and jus baskin, lying on the sand, listening to my favourite chill songs. i got all of that, plus some excitement too in the form of surfing and diving. i'll save the diving story for another time. hehe. cos its quite. the. embarassing.

ok some pics for now!

while shopping in ubud

the scenery at some warung for lunch

the babi guling stall was closed.
