jus came back from dinner and pasar malam with my family. during dinner, it suddenly came to my mind that we've never gone to pasar malams as a family b4. i did few times with my frens, n when i was much younger, staying in ss2, aunt n cousins would jus bring me there since it's jus around the corner. so yes, thinking bout it, this would be my first visit to a pasar malam wit my family. so there u go, a toast for the first! hehe..

the reason for this big occasion was cos my sis wanted to purchase sum music cds. ahh...kids nowadays. they hav it so easy :p

another highlight for this joyous occasion was tat i met my primary school mate! its been ages since i saw her. probably early this year during our last gathering. so yah..it's been long. ahh..all those memories of our extended pj lessons playing 'bola baling' in the mud. simply lovely! i wish i hav a pic of them tat i can post up but those were the days when films were still widely used. :p ahh..im just lost reminiscing bout those good old times. *wink*

val decided to burn sum calories yesterday n asked me to tag along cos, obviously she cant play badminton alone. so i set my alarm clock at 9, but it's extremely hard for me to get up in the mornings. *wink* after snoozing the alarm clock for like the zillionth time, i struggled to move my lazy body out of my bed, and i think i've already walked all the way to the toilet door when i decided tat it's not worth it. its too much trouble waking up. :p so i plopped back down to my comfy bed n messaged val.

my msg : val, can we jus skip the badminton n go to coll later?
vals reply : eh, i really wanna play la..plss..

haihh...why la WHY?? in the end, we managed to play our game of badminton, though not at 9 of cos. reached the courts at about 12. so since it was only the 2 of us, the aunties who was already playing they invited us to play with them. doubles. so we tot, y not? we are both young, energetic, and fit..so we sure would have the energy to outrun them rite? WRONG! so we took our places n the game starts. 1-0...2-0..3-0..4-0...n it countinues, until a time we were so much left behind that the aunties decided to giv us chance. things were so bad till they had to sought to playing with their left hands. ( mind you, both of them were right handers )

sigh. so much for being fit.

my nightmare has already begun. 10:05pm on a tues nite. the time im supposed to hand up my draft proposal? 5pm wednesday. great. tat leaves me 19 hours from now till the dateline. the time i hav to spend in class tomoro..minus 4 and a half hours. so i have now 15 hours and a half. great. minus the travelling time, makan time, time wasted ere n there, bottomline...NOT ENOUGH TIME! tsktsk..and not to forget sleeping time?? hopefully i'll have enough to not feel tired during my first class of the semester. haiih.. and to top it all of, i think im falling sick. uughh!!! ok officially on panic and desperate mode now :p

i am suddenly given another week of hols. YIPPIIEE!! things jus cant get any better *grin* on the downside tho, im supposed to come up with my draft proposal for my fyp by next wed, 20th October. n true enough, i havent decided on any yet. i havent even narrowed down my scope to any specific area. when u r given the liberty to do anything under the sun, u're suddenly bogged down with too many choices. too many choices can only mean one thing. u're spoilt for choice.

my dad, upon arriving at a carpark would look for a place to park his car. when he sees a parking bay empty in a full carpark, he would automatically signal n drive his car rite into the empty area. given a car park which has too many empty bays, my dad would drive around n around, unable to make up his mind on which parking bay is 'better' than the other, and which one is nearer to the lifts. until one of us in the car would jus start to beg him on settling with ANY parking lot. anyone will do.

i wouldnt want to jus settle for any topic. a fren of mine suggested for me to do sumthing im interested in. wat if i do not hav interest in any specific area in the first place? then wat?

the biggest worry is to finally decide on a topic, only to find out much later tat it is way beyond my capability.

ahhh! i think im jus gonna leave the thinkin for tommorow la. and if tomorow i sumhow 'forget' to do my lil research, there's still the day after tommorow, n the day after the day after tommorow..and the day after the day after the day after tommorow..*wink* and for all u know, it's tues, n i still dun have a topic :p

i was up at 850 this morning to prepare for my first day in coll. *clap clap* the normal routine, went to coll, reached the auditorium to find it almost full dy, with loads of new faces. ( not one leng chai one tho..sigh ) grabbed a seat n throughout the whole briefing, it was an uphill task to keep my eyes opened. y they wanna go thru this briefing each n every year amazes me. its the same old story repeated again n again. *yawn*

...if u wanna excuse urself to the washroom, raise ur hands and ask for permission. if ur lecturer does not allow, stay glued onto ur seats...( tsktsk )

...only lecturers are allowed to use the lifts, students like you should take the stairs...

...when u wanna go up, use the stairs on your right. when u wanna come down, use the stairs on ur left. this is to avoid the male students from bumping into the female students... ( grin )

hehe..when the slides reached that particular point, i find myself sitting jus a lil lower. :p

my 2 and a half months of holidays is gonna come to an end soon...*count count* hmmm, in approximately 53 hours. after tat 9 months of sheer terror and torture! man i clap my hands in excitement..:p ( yeah rite )

time really flies. i remember the moment after my last paper, i told myself tat i would come up with this long to-do list, which to no surprise, i din manage to fulfill at all. y did i bother with the list in the first place i do not know.

...to brush up on my programming language skills, scripting language..asp, etc..
...to think about my final year project title..
...to re-decorate my room...
...to catch up with frens...

to-do list number 4 i did considerably well :p but the same cant be said bout the rest tho. hehe.. im sittin down here thinking, how could i have spent my time doing stuffs tat i din really need to do at all in the first place. one good example i can think of is pressing the power button of my computer as soon as i step into my room, when i obviously need the rest, then staying up for hours chatting bout nothing in particular, only to wake up at 1 the next morning..oh afternoon to be exact. i cannot count the amount of times i wanted or planned to do sumthing else, read a book perhaps, or anything la for tat matter..jus sumthing more beneficial than sitting in front of the monitor, staring into sentences, emoticons, hearing the beep of a new message coming in, the orange blinking of new messages. at the end of the day, clearly, i am defeated. :p

i think i need to practice self control more. ok 'think' is not really the best word to use. i SHOULD practice more of self control in time to come. i would really, really try. :p

5th october is the birthday of none other than Y.A.B Dato' Seri Tan Hock Seng ( ok something fr the yc college camp )



he was shocked to recieve a call from me at 12 this morning. guess ppl around his age doesnt do these kinda stuff anymore. tee hee..

anyways happy birthday yah!! all the best to u..go get attached laa!! if not too old dy la!!..HAHAHA...but in all seriousness, this guy here has been a mentor to me. a person i look up to in more ways than one. n to add wat cminh once said, "hock seng is a wise man"..hahaa..i dunno how true is tat, but nonetheless, since it's his bday, so cheers!!!

i tot i'll jus spend the last few days of my hols doing at least sumthing productive. :p so i did yesterday by taking my sis to catch princess diaries 2 in ou.

the movie was a feel good movie. u laugh n cry with the characters. it has the funny bits tat keeps u in stitches and also its "awwwwww...so sweet" moments which leaves u with the tingly feeling. sigh, im getting soft...

and the best feeling throughout the whole show? surprisingly, it wasnt when mia got her throne. it wasnt even when mia n nicholas spent the whole nite outdoors, under the blanket of stars, below the tree, her restin on his chest. it was when my sis rested her head on my shoulders while goin thru the "awwwww.." moments in the movie. :p

i treasure those kodak moments, cos it doesnt come often enough. she can be such a brat at times. sigh.

i was taking my shower yesterday at 12am, literally dozin off standing after a long day. took a dab of shampoo n started to scrub my head. eh, y as though i've done this jus 5 minutes ago wan?



i shampoo-ed my hair twice tat nite.

today is also the bday of yanqing. happpyy birthdayy!!! col is gonna start dy!! which means we can go for our 'misguided' trips to the cafeteria..or climb flights of stairs from the 1st floor to the 4th floor jus to refill our water bottles..*grin* ( we have the water dispenser thingy on every floor except for the 1st floor ) :p so for this great guy, we celebrated his bday yesterday in sum place in paramount. 3 cheers for the bday boy! :p



p/s: i loovee the cake!! so cute!! heheh..i wonder who was the one who poked the candles right into the poor cake's eyes though! too much of happy tree frens! kekek..
